GJD Services was recently invited to survey a number of Japanese military aircraft abandoned at the end of the second world war on the remote island of Ballale in the Solomon Islands. The survey was carried out with a view to removing these airframes and placing them for sale, for onward display in museums world wide, to provide remuneration for the people of the Shortland Provence as well as funding expansion of the National Museum project at Guadalcanal to display some of the aircraft of Ballale.
